Meet the Chef

It is often said great minds think alike. Well, at IP great chefs work together. That's why the dreams of food lovers come true daily at IP Casino Resort & Spa. To dine in one of our stand-alone venues is to be tempted and indulged by the brilliance of Stephen Morgan, IP Vice President Food & Beverage and award-winning Executive Chef Chris Poplin.

Morgan graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in 1985 in Hyde Park, New York. Since then he has opened four Ritz-Carlton Hotels and three world class casinos. "One of the high points in my career was my appointment as the first American Chef de Cuisine of the coveted dining room at the Ritz-Carlton Boston, one of the finest hotels in the world. Today I work for the best casino property in the world -IP Casino Resort & Spa."

In November 2006 Executive Chef Chris Poplin, a Stephen Morgan recruit, won one of the highest culinary honors in the world, Maitre du Gout or Master of Taste. "I am very proud to raise IP to new culinary heights and to showcase our culinary and management team who together have changed the paradigm of food on the Mississippi Gulf Coast."
